Hazel Grove Health Centre

About The Project

Central Electrical (NW) Ltd was appointed to deliver a comprehensive electrical infrastructure upgrade at Hazel Grove Health Centre, improving the safety, reliability and future capacity of the building’s electrical systems. The project involved extensive distribution board replacements, circuit rewiring, lighting upgrades and compliance improvements throughout the operational healthcare facility.

Electrical Distribution Upgrades

  • Replacement of the existing main distribution board, upgrading obsolete MCCB equipment with a new 12-way distribution system.
  • Replacement and upgrading of multiple distribution boards throughout the facility.
  • Installation of new RCBO protection to circuits to improve electrical safety and fault protection.
  • Installation of dedicated supplies for critical systems, including communications and fire alarm infrastructure.
  • Provision of new switch fuses, fused isolators and associated power distribution equipment.

Electrical Installation Works

  • Rewiring of 31 existing MICC circuits using modern low-smoke, fire-resistant cabling.
  • Installation of new internal electrical containment systems, including conduit and dado trunking.
  • Installation of external containment systems for CCTV and electrical services.
  • Earthing upgrades and modifications to support new electrical infrastructure.
  • Removal of redundant electrical equipment within plant and boiler room areas.

Lighting & Energy Efficiency

  • Replacement of internal lighting systems throughout the health centre.
  • Installation and upgrading of emergency lighting to maintain compliance with current standards.
