About The Project

Our M&E team delivered the full installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all mechanical and electrical services for a specialist high-tech greenhouse development at Askam Pharms in Salisbury. The project required the integration of complex climate-controlled growing environments across production, propagation, and service areas, supported by fully automated mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems.

Electrical Services

  • Full LV electrical infrastructure installation, including main distribution and sub-distribution networks
  • Installation of structured containment systems, including cable trays, cable gutters and routing networks
  • Power distribution to all mechanical, lighting, irrigation and automation systems
  • Integration of climate control systems, including Priva network/server infrastructure
  • Installation of LED grow lighting systems with full electrical control and switching systems
  • Fire alarm, monitoring and plant fault detection systems (Octalarm integration)
  • Provision of power and controls for HVAC, irrigation, screening and greenhouse automation systems
  • Site-wide lighting, small power and service area electrical installations
  • Generator and backup power integration for operational resilience

Mechanical Services

  • Installation of the complete Ultra Clima® greenhouse structure, building envelope and associated access systems
  • Delivery of integrated HVAC systems including AHUs, ventilation, heating and cooling coils, boiler plant, chillers and zoned climate control networks
  • Installation of irrigation and fertigation systems including drip, ebb & flood, fogging and associated water treatment, storage and distribution infrastructure
  • CO₂ distribution systems and full greenhouse pipework networks supporting climate optimisation
  • Installation of screening systems (horizontal and vertical energy screens) across all production zones
  • Provision of container handling, germination, and internal production systems including automated transport and handling equipment
  • Installation of service infrastructure including doors, access systems and operational logistics support

 

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

  • Full testing and commissioning of all mechanical, electrical and control systems
  • Climate zone balancing and system optimisation, including airflow, heating, cooling and irrigation performance
  • Integration and commissioning of automated lighting, screening, irrigation and climate control platforms
  • Electrical testing and verification of all distribution and control systems
  • Operator training, system familiarisation and client support
  • Completion of as-built documentation, O&M manuals and full handover package
